Merge PDFs

Works entirely in your browser — your document is never uploaded to a server. Results are measured from the actual output file, and limitations are stated openly.

Select 2–24 PDFs. The list order below is the page order in the merged file.

Protected PDFs are decrypted in your browser with this password, merged without the lock. It is never stored or sent anywhere.

Merging questions

How do I merge PDF files without uploading them?

Add two or more PDFs — the order in the list is the page order in the merged file — and the merge runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and fonts, text, vectors and image quality arrive exactly as they left.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Yes, as long as you know the password. Type it into the optional field and your browser decrypts the file, merges the pages and outputs the result without the lock. The password is never stored or sent anywhere.

Does merging PDFs reduce the file size?

No. Merging copies pages into a new file, so the result is roughly the sum of the inputs. If you need a smaller document, merge first and then compress or split the result.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

Up to 24 files in one batch. The merged document downloads as a single PDF, and batch results can also be taken as one ZIP.

Combining PDFs without quality loss

Merging here is a page-level copy: each input document’s pages are moved into the output in the order you list them, with no re-encoding — fonts, text, vectors and image quality arrive exactly as they left. Two or three files, or up to 24 at once, combine into one download.

If any input is password-protected you can type the password into the tool — it decrypts in your browser, merges the pages and never stores or sends the password. The merged file comes out unlocked. From there, compress it to a target size or split out specific ranges — both lossless. Everything else lives in the PDF tools hub.
