Privacy Policy
Short version: your files never reach us, because there is no “us” that receives them — all processing happens in your browser. Below is the longer, still readable version. Last updated: October 2026.
1. Files you process
Images and PDFs you load into any tool on this site are decoded, processed and saved by your own browser, on your own device. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We do not receive, store, log, view or index the contents of your files — there is no server-side component to receive them.
2. Data we collect
Nothing. There are no analytics scripts, no session recorders, no ad networks, no third-party trackers, and no forms that send data anywhere. Our static host (Cloudflare) may keep standard, anonymous request logs for operational security (e.g. abuse detection); these contain technical connection data, not file contents, and are governed by Cloudflare’s own policies.
3. Settings stored on your device
The tools remember your preferences — chosen theme, and the most recent target size — using your browser’s local storage under the keys reducesize-theme and reducesize-target-kb. This data never leaves your device, is not synced, and you can clear it at any time via your browser’s site-data settings.
4. Passwords in the PDF tools
Passwords you type into protect or unlock are used in your browser’s memory for that single operation, then discarded. They are never stored, transmitted or embedded in output files.
5. Children’s privacy
The service is directed at a general audience and collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Because there is no data collection, no age-related handling is necessary.
6. Your rights
Because we hold no personal data (files, emails, identifiers), there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete. Data-regulation requests can be sent to privacy@reducesizeonline.com or through the contact page; the technical answer is that no such data exists.
7. Changes
If these practices ever change materially, the change will be described here with a new date before it takes effect. What will not change silently: a shift from pure client-side processing to any form of upload would be a rewrite of this page and would never be presented as a minor edit.
