Sign a PDF

Works entirely in your browser — your document is never uploaded to a server. Results are measured from the actual output file, and limitations are stated openly.

Draw a signature once, then stamp it anywhere on any page. Text in the document stays selectable.

Signing questions

How do I sign a PDF online?

Draw your signature once on the pad, then drag a box on the page to place and size the stamp. Repeat on any page you need, then download. The untouched parts of the document stay fully selectable text.

Is my signature stored or uploaded?

No. The signature is drawn on a canvas in your browser and stamped into the PDF locally. Nothing is uploaded, and no copy of the signature is kept after the tab closes.

Does signing a PDF reduce the file size?

No. Signing adds a small image and leaves the rest of the document intact, so the file stays roughly the same size. Compress it first if size matters, then sign the smaller copy.

Can I sign a PDF on my phone?

Yes. Draw with a finger or stylus on the page canvas, drag the stamp where you want it, and download — the same workflow as on a desktop, with no app to install.

Is a drawn signature legally binding?

That depends on your jurisdiction and the document — an electronic signature carries different weight in different places. This tool produces the signed file; the legal question is not ours to decide.

A drawn signature, placed exactly

Draw your signature once on the pad, then stamp it anywhere on any page — drag a box to size and position it, page by page, until every placement is right. Only the stamp area is touched; the rest of each page stays fully selectable text, and the document is rebuilt locally, pixel for pixel.

Signing pairs well with the rest of the suite: a scanned contract that is too heavy for email goes through the PDF compressor first, and a finished, signed copy can be pinned with a password using the protect tool. Everything else — merge, split, unlock, convert — is in the PDF tools hub.
